Experience

Eva is a mentor for Sustainable South Hams and trustee of Sustainable South Brent. She helps coordinate projects around Waste and the three Rs in South Brent and is busy developing the mentor role for Sustainable South Hams around Waste. The current focus is very much on Community Compost groups and Eva recently co-hosted a presentation and tour of the Community Compost Project at South Brent aimed at inspiring other groups to set up their own. Eva is passionate about community endeavours and believes that many of the solutions to our climate crisis lie in active community engagement. This is what led her to become a mentor for SSH, giving her a platform to connect with others across the South Hams, sharing knowledge and inspiration to make climate action happen faster. When she is not busy with her work around sustainability Eva is a teacher of Mathematics at secondary level. She says that working with young people really focuses the mind on the urgency for action on climate.
