Communities wanted for free summer home compost workshops

We are looking for 4 communities in South Hams that would like to host a 3-hour Home Composting workshop between June and September. Are you part of a community group that would like to host us?

Home composting is a fantastic way to create free nutrient-rich compost that improves soil health, supports wildlife and boosts plant growth whilst dealing with garden waste and kitchen scraps. Our compost mentors are passionate and knowledgeable and love to share their enthusiasm for healthy soil and compost.

By the end of the day, participants will have the knowledge and confidence to start or improve their composting system with lots of ideas on different options and techniques.

If your community can host us and help spread the word – we will provide one of our Compost Mentors for a free 3-hour workshop, free Composting for All booklets and fact sheets for all participants. We will also provide poster templates, newsletter and social media content.
