Devolution provides an opportunity to look beyond existing political boundaries and imagine a more resilient future at the scale of the whole of South Devon.

Over fifty organisations already taking action on climate change, social justice and recovering nature in South Devon are invited to a Round Table Discussion at Follaton House, home of South Hams District Council on Wednesday 10th September at 3pm.

The goal is to bring into being a South Devon-wide working group on climate adaptation, mitigation and biodiversity. Bioregional Learning Centre (BLC) is providing administration and guidance for this partnership effort. The previous workshop in June has led to a number of next steps, including: review and synthesis of the leading plans that already exist, mapping out the set-up for a bioregional financing facility and sketching out a democratic process of information sharing and consensus building. These will all be presented at the round table for feedback and discussion.

South Hams District Council, Sustainable South Hams, Devon Climate Emergency and BLC are working together to make this happen. Please get in touch with BLC if your community group or organisation would like to express interest in being involved in this work.
